Melting Pot's unique and innovative style of candle making and wax modelling is perfect for creative art workshops.
Our workshops teach basic modelling skills, giving participants the chance to start modelling a candle of just about any size, shape or colour imaginable right from the word go.  The whole creative process is delivered in a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere, providing a therapeutic environment designed to encourage creativity and confidence building.

The candles are made using scented warm sheets of wax that are heated to make them pliable. The wax is heated to about the same temperature as a warm bath, making it a lovely and safe material to work with. When the wax is warm and pliable, participants are encouraged to explore modelling techniques, and are taught how to manipulate the wax into just about any shape possible.
This process does 'not' involve pouring hot liquid wax into containers. 
With over 4 year’s experience of working within the community sector, our workshops have proved to be suitable for a wide range of different groups. Our flexible and tailored approach means that workshops can be designed to fit the needs of any group.
We can run ‘one off’ sessions to longer projects lasting up to 5 weeks, providing people with an opportunity to learn different techniques and develop their own skills and creative style.

Workshops are generally designed for 6 to 8 people and are easily transported, making it possible to work in any location.  Costs range from £85 per session (including all equipment/materials) plus mileage, or 5 sessions for £400 plus mileage. Minimum requirements for a workshop are access to a room for about 3 hours, with disability access where necessary, tables, chairs and electric power supply.

All candles made during the workshop are yours to be taken home. They will be unique, artistic and work!
